Home screen of Carb Manager App

I started logging everything I ate using My Fitness Pal. It does a good job and has a large database of foods and restaurant data. It however did not automatically calculate Net Carbs. I was having to do this in my head every time I added to my daily log to figure out how many I had left. As the daily list got longer it took longer to recalculate. So I researched the other options and saw that Carb Manager was the most frequently mentioned in the various groups I had joined. So, I went to app store and downloaded.

Number one, it automatically calculates net carbs. It integrates with my fitness tracker so it can adjust my calories if I so choose based on my activities for the day. It has a large database of verified foods and restaurants. You can add your own foods, favorite recipes, and meals. You can share your creations as well for other to use. Be careful though, user added entries may or may not be accurate. I think most people try to be accurate but we are human. There are other apps out there and I have not felt the need to try any others as Carb Manager has been easy to use and does what I need. It is a free app but you get more features in the paid version. I did upgrade and for the little cost I am quite pleased.

Another feature is that it will calculate your macros for you. It can be configured to automatically adjust your macros as you lose weight so you don't have to keep doing it on your own. You put in some basic information and it does the initial work for you.
